Mr. Barney L. Redding, Age 81, of Cedartown, passed away May 20, 2005. He was born on June 23, 1923.

Barney will be remembered by many in Polk County, by his Christian family, athletic adults and children for many years as an umpire, his service to the county both with Polk County School District, and the Polk County Sheriff's Dept. He will be missed but remembered as a loving Husband, Father, and Positive role model to many in this community.

Mr. Redding is preceded in death by his Wife of 55 years, Mildred Redding.

He is survived by a Daughter, Linda Redding of Greenville, South Carolina 2 Sons, Barney L. Redding, Jr. of Hollywood, Florida and Eddie Redding of Cedartown. Also surviving are 8 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren.

The Funeral Service for Mr. Redding will be conducted on May 24th at 11:00AM in the chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Benefield officiating. Internment will follow in the Northview Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Barney L. Redding, Jr., Eddie Redding, Ryan Redding, Jason Stoen, Justin Redding, and Art Wagner.

The family will receive friends from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home.
