Ms. Barbara Burgess, age 76, of Cedartown, Georgia passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2019.  She was born on February 22, 1942, in Rome.  She was the daughter of the late Bill Burgess and Virginia Morgan Sullivan.

Ms. Burgess is survived by her daughters, Starr Barnett Merritt (Michael) and Shayne Barnett Green (Lance); grandchildren, Kortnee Beck Hazlewood (Jason), Kaila Oliver Chivers (Cam), Zach Merritt, Caitlin Merritt, Maris Green, Levi Green; and great-grandchildren, Jonathan Hazlewood, Will Hazlewood, Jarrett Hazlewood, Miranda Ford, Maddison Ford, Makinze Ford, Anna Kate Merritt, and Payton Chivers.

Ms. Burgess is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Sheena Barnett Oliver; and great-grandson, Justin Payton.

The funeral arrangements for Ms. Barbara Burgess will be held on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at two o'clock in the afternoon in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Joel A. Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Northview Cemetery with Mr. Eric Barnett officiating.

The family of Ms. Burgess will receive family and friends on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 from six o'clock in the evening until nine o'clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Eric Barnett, Clint Barnett, Brandon Barnett, Jeremy Carney, Matt McLendon and Dustin Chastain.
