Mrs. Barbara Sue Atkins Smith, age 81 of Woodstock, Georgia passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2014. She was born on February 2, 1933 in Rome. She was the daughter of the late Edward W. Atkins and Addie Lee Quick Atkins.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her loving husband, Donald Darnell Smith; son and daughter-in-law, Mark A. Smith and Sheri; sister, Elizabeth Dow; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Smith is preceded in death by her parents; step-son, Steve Smith; sisters, Dolice Jean Minge and Jeannette Poole and brother, Charles E. Atkins.

The funeral arrangements for Mrs. Smith will be conducted on Sunday, September 7, 2014 at two o'clock in the afternoon in the Gammage Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terri Brice and Rev. Alice Rogers officiating. Interment will follow in the Northview Cemetery.

The family of Mrs. Smith will receive family and friends on Saturday, September 6, 2014 from two o'clock in the afternoon until four o'clock in the afternoon at the Gammage Funeral Home.

Flowers are being accepted; however, donations can be made to St. James Episcopal Church, 302 West Avenue, Cedartown, GA 30125.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Doc Ayers, Joe Camarata, Scott Minge, Jule Peek, M.B. Ware and Jerry Witton. Honorary pallbearers will be Postal "Has Beens" Club and Krystal Coffee Club.
