Ms. Avie Mae Sprayberry Haney, age 92 of Cedartown, passed away on Friday, February 20, 2015. She was born on January 13, 1923 in LaGrange, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Fred and Ada Baker Sprayberry.

Ms. Haney was a member of The Second Baptist Church of Cedartown.

Ms. Haney is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Kathy Haney; sisters, Gertrude Dugger and Christine Morrison (of Tennessee); brother and sister-in-law, Leonard and Wilma Sprayberry; sisters-in-law Louise McWhorter and Betty Dean Easterwood; brother-in-law George Hubert Haney; two grandchildren, Jeffry Haney and wife Lisa & Richie Haney and wife Paige; four great-grandchildren, Jack, Britt, Emily, Cooper, and Lorena Haney and several nieces and nephews.

Ms. Haney is preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Fred Haney; sister, Rosa Mae Hilliard and brothers, Harold Sprayberry, Edward Sprayberry and Alfred Sprayberry.

The funeral arrangements for Ms. Haney will be conducted on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at 2:30 pm in the Gammage Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Stephens and Rev. Billy Frasier officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery.

The family of Ms. Haney will receive family and friends on Sunday, February 22, 2015 from 1:30pm until the funeral hour at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Mike Worthington, James E. Chapman, Bobby Smith, Terry Wells, Phillip Reedy, Greg Caldwell, Joe Barker, Johnny Bradshaw, J.R. Waites and Jerry Wells.

The family has requested that flowers are to be omitted; however, memorial donations can be made to the Church of Christ Ladies O.W.L.S. Group.
