Mr. Archie Emmit Packer, age 91 of Cedartown passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2006. He was born on October 22, 1915 in Polk County.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Daisy M. Packer; son, Melvin Packer and parents, Paul C. Packer and Alice Freeman Packer.
Mr. Packer is survived by his daughters, Bernice Crowe of Rome; and Brenda Burns of Cedartown; son, Edward Packer of Cave Spring; sister, Gladys Price of Cullman, Alabama and daughter-in-law, Hilda Packer of Rome. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
The graveside service will be conducted on Tuesday, November 14th at 11:00a.m. at Oakgrove Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Ray Hopkins officiating.
The Packer family will receive friends on Monday, November 13th from 6:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. at Gammage Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Mr. Packer's grandsons.
