Mrs. Anne Burkhalter Sparks, age 80, of Cedartown passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2007. She was born on February 14, 1927 in Polk County.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Seals Sparks; husband, Robert Burkhalter; sister, Evelyn Lamb and brothers, Thomas Hampton and William Hampton.

Mrs. Sparks is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Robert Selman; sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby and Lynn Burkhalter and Dennis and Joan Burkhalter; son, Rodney Burkhalter; sister, Katherine Maiden and brothers, James Hampton and Julius Hampton. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be conducted on Friday, March 2nd at 11:00a.m. at Youngs Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Wood officiating. Interment will follow in Polk Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 1st from 6:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. at the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Youngs Grove Baptist Church Building Fund.

Pallbearers are Josh Burkhalter, Patrick Terry, Greg Sumner, Vince Mayfield, Mike Rutledge and Mike Whitfield.
