Mrs. Ann Tanner Johnson, age 78, of 488 Denton Rd., Cedartown, GA passed away on Wednesday, December 01, 2004, at her residence. She was born March 11, 1926 daughter of the late Ed and Flora Mobley Tanner.
She was retired from Arrow Shirt Factory where she was an outstanding seamstress.
Mrs. Ann Johnson was married to Sidney Johnson, Jr. and was preceded in death by him in 2001. In addition to her parents Mrs. Johnson was also preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Mrs. Ann Johnson is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Julia Ann and Elree Cox, Jr., grandchildren, Elree Jami Cox III, Julie Anna Cox, Barry Edward Cox; great grandchildren, Joshua Isaiah Cox, Joi Kera Cox, Jade Monet Cox, and Tyrese Cox. Sisters, Lillie Swanson, Glady Clemons, Sara Folsom, Eddie McKlevey; brother, David Tanner also survive.
The funeral for Mrs. Ann Tanner Johnson will be conducted on Saturday, Dec. 4th at 2 pm at the Gammage Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robert Pyles officiating. The Ware's Grove Missionary Baptist Church Youth Choir, with soloist Joshua Isaiah, will be providing the music. Interment will follow at Northview Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Mr. Bob Temple, Mr. Marvin Hampton, Dr. Orice Brannan, Mr. C. E. David, Mr. John David Jolly and Mr. Ron Campbell.
The family will receive friends on Friday, Dec. 3rd from
6 until 9 pm at the funeral home.
