Obituary

Mr. Andy Davenport, age 42 of Cedartown, passed away on Friday, November 3, 2006. He was born on May 28, 1964 in Polk County.

Mr. Andy Davenport was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church.

Andy graduated from Cedartown High School in 1982. He was employed at Lindale Manufacturing for over 10 years.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, John W. Davenport, Sr.

Mr. Davenport is survived by his daughters, Shambria Davenport, Brittany Davenport and Ashley Davenport all of Cedartown; sons, Avan Davenport and Gregory Davenport all of Cedartown; his devoted mother, Fannie Davenport Fain and her husband, Ray Fain of Cedartown; a sister and brother-in-law, Teresa Davenport Smith and Willie Smith of Gadsen, Alabama; twin brother, Randy Davenport, of Atlanta; brothers, Wallace Davenport of Cedartown, Paul Sewell of Cedartown, Roy Fain of Rome and John Wesley Fain of Cedartown; brother and sister-in-law, Tommy Fain and Deanna Fain of Rome and his loving grandmother, Cora Davenport. Also surviving are 6 nieces, 9 nephews, 2 great nieces and 4 great nephews, special friends, Monique Oatis, DeVonte' Williams and Benjamin Carter all of Gadsden, Alabama and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends.

The funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, November 7th at 1:00p.m. at New Bethel Baptist Church with Pastor Lewis Clark, Pastor Denorria Brinkley, Rev. Jerry Williams, Pastor Fredia Hanner presiding with the eulogy by Elder Randy Davenport. Interment will follow in Polk Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Monday, November 6th from 6:00p.m. unitl 9:00p.m. at Gammage Funeral Home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the funeral hour. At all other times the Davenport family will gather at his Mother's home, 350 Benefield Road.

Pallbearers are Mr. Davenport's cousins Marvin Jones, Jr., Allen Price, Jr., Weston Price, John Wesley Davenport III, Darren Davenport, Bobby Whitfield, Wilbur Lovelace, Franklin Chislom and Donald Smith. Flower ladies are Tandra Owens, Latonia Darby, Georgina Smith, Shannon Martin, Tera Woffrod, Coretha Gorham, Gina Davenport, Fannie Davenport, Barbara Glanton and Deidra Price. Honorary flower ladies are Tammie Tilley, Donna Davenport, Valerie Sewell and Angie Rudeseal.

The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements for Mr. Andy Davenport.
