Mr. Andrew Lacy Grimsley, age 84, of Cedartown, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2010. He was born on April 28,1926 in Robersonville, South Carolina to the late Mr. and Mrs. Jetter Lewis "JL" and Madge "Snow" Turner Grimsley.

Mr. Grimsley is preceded in death by parents, Jetter Lewis and Madge Snow Turner Grimsley; wife, Anne Moore Grimsley; son, Andrew Lacy Grimsley, Jr.; sister, Sally Clyde Grimsley and brothers, Oscar Grimsley, Fred Grimsley and Crawford Grimsley.

Mr. Grimsley is survived by daughter, Anna Holder; sons, Landon Grimsley and Mickey Phillips, brother, Wade Grimsley; sister, Marie Grimsley; special friends, Bob McMurray and Steve and Janice Arrington and nieces and nephews, Neal Dempsey, Van Dempsey, Sandra Wieck and Yancey Moore and Jerry Moore.

The funeral service for Mr. Grimsley will be conducted on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at eleven o'clock in the morning in the chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Van Dempsey, Dr. DeWayne New and Rev. Reginald Campbell officiating.

Interment will follow in the New Harmony Cemetery. Full military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post # 86 Honor Guard.

The family and friends of Mr. Grimsley will receive friends on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at ten o'clock in the morning until the funeral hour at the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home.
