Mrs. Alice Dorothy Thomas, age 84, of Plano, Texas, formerly of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on May 14, 2008.
She was born January 14, 1924 in Cedartown, the daughter of George Clayton Hilburn and Velma Lee Thomas Ford.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and The Rebecca Ridgley Lodge. She formerly worked for the Crisis Hotline.

Mrs. Thomas is preceded in death by husband, Charles C. Thomas; daughter, Carolyn Cooper; and her parents.

Family survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Emory Worsham, Margie and Johnny Mason, Debbie and Johnny Williams, Michaela and Mike Kelso; daughter, Beverly Ray. Eighteen grandchildren, Twenty-four great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren also survive. Local survivors include Eddie and Vevly Hilburn, Rustin Hilburn, and Amy Hilburn Payne all of Cedartown; Frank Hilburn and Nancy Harper Hilburn both of Rockmart; and Ben Hilburn of Marietta.

The funeral service for Mrs. Alice Dorothy Thomas will be conducted on Saturday May 17th at 2:00pm in the chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Bro. Max Kimball officiating. Interment will follow in Northview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Saturday morning May 17th beginning at 9:00am until the funeral hour at the funeral home.

Mrs. Thomas' grandsons will be serving as pallbearers.
