Obituary

Mr. Albert Cooper, age 75, of Cedartown, passed away on February 11, 2008 at his residence. He was born January 30, 1933 in Polk County, the son of the late Robert Emmett Cooper and Ruby Philpot Cooper. Mr. Cooper was a veteran of the United States Army and United States Air Force serving in the Korean War and the Vietnam Conflict.

Besides his parents, Mr. Cooper is predeceased by sons, Albert Emmett Cooper; sisters, Ruth Cooper, Rudell Cooper, Shirley Cooper and Alberta Cooper Bailey; brothers, Lawrence Cooper, Charlie Cooper, Eudell Cooper, and Jimmy Cooper.

Family members surviving are daughters, Secunda Dawson, Chelsea Cooper, Nicole Cooper and Asja Cooper; son, Stoney Cooper. Five Grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren also survive.

A Memorial Service for Mr. Cooper will be conducted on Thursday, February 14 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Minister, James Nelson officiating. Interment will follow in the Northview Cemetery with American Legion Brewster-Cleveland Post #86 Honor Guard conducting full military rights.

The family has respectfully requested that flowers be omitted.
