Mrs. Agnes Lucille Chambers, age 87, of Cedartown, passed away on Monday, April 4, 2011. She was born on September 18, 1923, in Floyd County. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert Sidney and Bertie Lee Thompson Terry.

Mrs. Chambers has been a resident of Polk County for over 65 years. She was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church for many years. She was a devout Christian and went over 20 years without missing a Sunday School class.

Mrs. Chambers is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Chesley Howell Chambers, Sr.; daughters, Wanda Gail Chambers and Patricia Dianne Chambers Keith; son, Edward Talmadge Chambers; grandson, Billy Wayne Chambers; daughter-in-law, Imogene Mann Chambers; sons-in-law, Scott Duke and Michael Ollis; brothers, Horace Terry, Porter Terry, Raymond Terry and Walter Terry and sister, Christine Terry Jones.

Mrs. Chambers is survived by sons, Chesley Chambers and wife Linda, Billy Chambers and wife Dyann, Jimmy Chambers and Douglas Chambers; daughters, Janice Duke and Nancy Ollis; daughter-in-law, Gail Chambers; son-in-law, James Keith; 24 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

The funeral service for Mrs. Chambers will be conducted on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at two o'clock in the afternoon at Lakeview Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Chambers, Rev. Trey Chambers, and Austin Mason officiating.

Interment will follow in the Prospect Cemetery in Rockmart with Jason Ollis speaking.

The family of Mrs. Chambers will receive friends on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 from six o'clock in the evening until nine o'clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as pallbearers; Jeffery Ollis, Dustin Ollis, Michael Ollis, Greg Mason, Zach Weaver, James Worthy, Colt Chambers and Scott Duke, Jr.

Honorary pallbearers will be James Waites, Howell Brown, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home is handling the arrangements for Mrs. Agnes Lucille Chambers.
